Hello people. It's Kok Chen. I'd figure I just post a little here, cos I have nothing to do.
Firstly, I just want to say how proud I am of the Saxophones section. I hear people say that we're the closest section. I hope we do stay close beyond the years ^^
Secondly, I know I'm not as close to the sec 1s as the rest of you are. I swear I'll try to talk to them more! Especially since I got Xiao En as a junior ^^ I finally have a companion tenor sax. Seems like so long since I had one.
Thirdly, and I know the sec 1s don't read this ( I don't think anyone does), I need to get jackets for the sec 1s. Come see me on Wednesday.
Fourthly, WE MUST RUN ON WEDNESDAYS!

Hello, KC here. I've been searching around and I found some info on the SAF concert the teachers want us to go to but told us nothing about.

The SAF Central Band will be presenting its 26th instalment of the In Harmony concert series - 'Angels in the Architecture'.
Conducting the SAF Central Band in this concert is the SAF Band's Senior Director of Music, Military Expert (ME) 5 Philip Tng Liat Peng. ME5 Philip has just returned from his overseas studies in Master of Music in Conducting at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA.

The concert will feature repertoire such as Toccata und Fuge BMV 565 by Bach, Le Cid by Massenet, Rocky Point Holiday by Nelson, Colonial Song by Grainger and Angels in the Architecture by Ticheli.

Looking at this blog makes me kinda sad. It reminds me that, one day, I too must leave the band. But still, at least there will be memories of us, like this blog. This blog was created in 2007, and I hope it will continue to serve it's function for generations to come, to keep the legacy of the saxofoones alive.

I know the band is in horrible shape right now and you guys are depressed because of that and think we can't get anything higher than a COP. But then again, we should still try our best! We have played harder pieces before, and we can do it again! Don't lose hope!

Hey saxes... As you know, our sec 4s are passing out this year. While perhaps the sec 2 may not be as close to the sec 4s like the current sec 3s, do think about what they have done for the section and perhaps maybe even learn to appreciate their actions. When they chide us, it usually for our own good. So please try to make the rest of their stay here in the band pleasant!

#3 Liyana is sooo busy with the orientation thing, I don't think she'll be free. She's too stress. We must de-stress her!

#4 Annabelle came back on the 19th! She's back EARLIER then me :D

#5 Why not hold the gathering next year? Maybe after Orientation with the new Sec1s? So Liyana wouldn't be so stress and then the new sec1s can get to know each other well! :D

Now the lecture!
Firstly, I wanna thank all of u for coming for the camp!!! EXCEPT for GABY!!!

Anyway, the saxes, at first i wanted to make the section bonded and there is actually a prupose to this... and it was to bond the band. Its not everything section and section. hope u guys will get the bigger picture. but Im sure tat the section is now bonded. now tat it is so successfullllllllll i want to say tat it is the whole-hearted effort from everyone! ok?~

But now its time to blend the others in oso. hope tat u guys really work towards the finishing line which is to bond the BAND. We just reached the station dun stop half-way. plS! Juz heard from Ct tat der will be a outing for the band conducted by our section right? pls oso put into consideration of how to get other other section to go oso. k~

Lastly, [told u it's a long lecture] I would like to apologize to everyone...

1. To the alumnis tat we didnt make section tee for u guys [will be making for u guys soon] and oso we did not prepare any gifts for u guys.
